MINISTRIES
HOW WE'RE REACHING JACKSONVILLE
& BEYOND
We have a myriad of ministries that touch all walks of life. From Arlington to Africa, we are living into our mission and vision of being Jesus-Centered and Jesus-Sent through our ministries.
AL ANON
Al-Anon members are people, just like you, who are worried about someone with a drinking problem. Family members have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of others who have faced similar problems, and teens come together to share experiences to find effective ways to cope with problems.
In a world of isolation, anonymity, and keyboard-warriors, Alpha offers content and guidance for churches, ministries, and individuals to create a space for honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits. Alpha is by the Church, for the Church, and through the Church, but it is run worldwide in many settings—homes, cafés, restaurants, prisons, and more. Increasingly, Alpha is being embraced by organizations and people looking to create a safe space for conversations about faith. Alpha creates spaces for honest, open, and judgment-free conversations for anyone to explore the Christian faith.

CARE PORTAL
CarePortal is connecting technology that drives action for local children and families in crisis. Real, systemic change is occuring in communities to reverse our nation’s foster care crisis as a result of the meaningful connections formed through CarePortal. Not through more programs. Not through more taxes. But through connection among a pre-existing network of caring people and local churches engaging in cross-sector collaboration, working together to facilitate local, proactive, and effective care for kids.
We like to focus on family. From kids and youth to adults, we have a variety of events and ministries that touch every part of you life’s walk with Jesus. Lead by our Family Life Pastor Anthony England, our family life ministry is not about isolating each part of life, but rather bringing them together.
FAMILY LIFE
The objectives of the OneCOP initiative are to increase community engagement with officers via congregations to decrease biases and increase familiarity, mutual respect and trust; improve public safety through collaboration and information sharing to combat crime and violence and, proactively create direct links between law enforcement and community leaders in an effort to prevent violent crime while giving a voice to public concerns relative to policing and police reform.

OUTREACH
We have an outreach team that gathers biweekly to connect with and pray for the community as well as spread the Good News and invite people to Destination Church. Throughout the year, we also hold a series of events, with a particular focus in the spring and summer. Here is a list of some of the events we have throughout the year:

• Car Show
• Drive-In Movie
• Easter Event
• Trunk-or-Treat
Twice a year, we have a semester full of small groups where you can get connected to God and other members of the church beyond Sundays. We have groups ranging from prayer and outreach to specific topics including books of the Bible and Christian-written books that will help you in your day-to-day life. Check out our calendar to see what groups are currently in session this semester.

THE WELL YOUTH
We have a program for your middle and high schoolers every Wednesday night. Full of qualified leaders, lessons, and time just to be kids, our goal with The Well is for your teenagers to be refreshed physically (yes, we have snacks!) and spiritually. Most importantly, we want them to remember that in a time that feels particularly isolating that they’re not alone in wanting to serve and learn about Jesus.
